We believe that all children can learn and are entitled to quality instruction in an environment which is both safe and nurturing. We believe that educating our students is the responsibility of the family, school and community.
Our Vision
We envision a school community which provides each student with the necessary skills to confidently meet a diverse and ever-changing world. We envision a school community where each student has a positive sense of self and respect for others. We envision a school community which encourages each student to believe they can positively impact and contribute to the world around them.
Our Mission
It is the mission of Rosa Park Elementary School to create a positive school culture that is conducive to learning; set high standards and accountability for learning; facilitate and implement an instructional program that maximizes student learning; and comprehensively engage parents and community in support of the school’s goals.
Redhawks Reading
Union Public Schools elementary media specialists have created the Redhawks Reading List, a list of some of their favorite books for elementary students as a way to encourage reading.
English Learners
It is Union's mission to provide English Learners (ELs) and Immigrant students a high quality program, designed to assist students in learning English and to meet challenging state academic content and student academic standards.
Community Schools
Union Public Schools is committed to strengthening children, families, and communities. Our Community Schools support student growth and achievement while also creating strong ties among families, students, schools, and communities.

The Raise Your Voice Tour of the children’s opera "Stop, Bully!" brought a fun, interactive performance to Rosa Parks Community School this morning.

The Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority is excited to announce that applications for the Summer EBT for Children program will be in April. This federally funded program is available to anyone; you do not have to be Native American to qualify.
The last day of school for Union Public Schools will be Friday, May 23.
The Union Board of Education approved the change along with other schedule changes – including using three built-in snow days and adding 16 additional minutes to the school day beginning March 24 – in order to make up lost instruction due to the six days students missed school due to inclement winter weather.

Select Theatre presents "Murder On the 518" at 7 p.m. April 10-11. Theatre of Professionals presents "The Odd Couple" at 7 p.m. May 1-3 at the Union High School Freshman Academy Studio. Tickets are $5 for all shows at the door. Union fourth graders helped the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra swing as part of the annual LinkUp Concerts at the Union High School Performing Arts Center today.

For the 33rd year in a row, the Finance Division for Union Public Schools has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) for its comprehensive annual financial report for 2023-2024.

Early Childhood
Union provides a full-day, year-round program for eligible 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds and kindergarteners. Students learn language, fine arts, problem-solving and more.
STEM
Union offers a wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math opportunities. Union was the 1st in Oklahoma, & among only a handful of districts nationwide, to offer STEM to students Pre-K through 12th grade.

Union's effective Community Schools model means increased attendance, reduced mobility, & improved academic success because of our partnerships.
