Welcome to Rosa Parks Elementary School!

Philosophy

We believe that all children can learn and are entitled to quality instruction in an environment which is both safe and nurturing. We believe that educating our students is the responsibility of the family, school and community.

We envision a school community which provides each student with the necessary skills to confidently meet a diverse and ever-changing world. We envision a school community where each student has a positive sense of self and respect for others. We envision a school community which encourages each student to believe they can positively impact and contribute to the world around them.

Our Mission

It is the mission of Rosa Park Elementary School to create a positive school culture that is conducive to learning; set high standards and accountability for learning; facilitate and implement an instructional program that maximizes student learning; and comprehensively engage parents and community in support of the school’s goals.

Redhawks Reading

Union Public Schools elementary media specialists have created the Redhawks Reading List, a list of some of their favorite books for elementary students as a way to encourage reading.

It is Union's mission to provide English Learners (ELs) and Immigrant students a high quality program, designed to assist students in learning English and to meet challenging state academic content and student academic standards.

Together, We Make A Difference

Academics are a priority. Union offers programs for students as young as 3 to adults. Union wants everyone to succeed.

Construction

Union’s construction program is all about giving students hands-on learning opportunities that help them make informed decisions about their future. The program is a great way for students to safely explore careers in construction, HVAC and electrical and earn industry certifications along the way.

Aerospace

Recognizing the need for a skilled workforce in the aerospace and aviation industry, Union is among a growing number of Oklahoma high schools offering aviation curriculum developed by the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA).

Early Childhood

Union provides a full-day, year-round program for eligible 3-year-olds, 4-year-olds and kindergarteners. Students learn language, fine arts, problem-solving and more.

EDGE

Union's EDGE program (Earn a Degree, Graduate Early) provides eligible students the opportunity to earn 60 college credits concurrently while attending high school.
