Rosa Parks Elementary Growing Student Success Through 'Early Release Friday' Teacher Collaboration
Students at Union Public Schools have been dismissing 40 minutes early on most Fridays during the 2025-26 school year, as a way for teachers to have localized collaboration time at their respective schools.
Staff at Rosa Parks Elementary have used this opportunity to create the "Power Half Hour," a dedicated time during the school day to focus on raising student achievement through small group instruction.
Learn about this new teaching format and see how all staff members are filling unique roles that directly contribute to student success.
